About Us
We are a family run traditional hardware store, established
in 1957, and serving a wide local area.
The building we occupy was originally built as an ironmonger's
shop in 1895 for Alfred Cole, who passed the business
to his son, and on his retirement sold to our family
in 1963.
Previously Douglas Yeadon had run his business from
much smaller premises across the road from our current
location. After many expansions into new extension's
of the building, we now have a sales area of 3000 square
feet, and the introduction of the next generation of
the Yeadon family, Mark who now conducts the daily running
of the business. Currently we hold about 11,000 stock
items that are continually changing to follow the seasons.
